Medicin presents underground bass music locked down in the lock up at The Island.
A potent blend of the UKs finest featuring.
(Loose Squares/Black Acre/Senseless)
The Original bass don is teleporting from Leeds and bringing the Northern fire with the city’s hypest MCs for a grime clash showdown.
WE BUY GOLD
From Deptford to Detroit juke generals bring up the tempo and lower the tone with their exclusive-packed bag of 160BPM tricks.
Residents DAFOE and DEVILLE fill the gaps with psyco-tropic bass of all shapes and colours.
All this entwined with the artwork of JOE FUR.
Roots in London but with tendrils stretching as far as the jungles of the Yucatan, Joe’s artwork entwines the street styles of skate punk with visions of the Mayan netherworld and beyond.
Expect a fat dose of immersive visuals and live art
and lastly and most importantly this will be powered by UNDER KONSTRUCTION SOUNDSYSTEM….a lean, mean grilling machine to rattle your teeth and shake your spleen!!
Open up and swallow, the Medicin tastes good:)

Hot on the heels of Synesthesia #2 we’re going straight back in with another technicolour selection of bass music from around the world just in time for summer. Vocals feature heavily on this release with Senseless resident MC Dialect showcasing his tough northern grime flex all over an eski-juke anthem (instro included) from Lenkemz who has been getting support from Diplo, Toddla, Basement Jaxx and many others recently. Next up we have one of our all time favourite artists and a big inspiration for the label, we’re very pleased to welcome Poirier with three absolute killers.
First up he teams up with long time collaborator Face T for the bass heavy ‘What’, lets just say sleng teng in a 2K12 style. On ‘Festival’ he channels African influences into a summer carival workout and then flips it for the slower reggaeton-inspired ‘Ladrillo Por Ladrillo’ featuring Boogat on vox. Finally we have a burning hot newcomer out of the furnaces in the Steel City, Walter Ego drops the monstrous Sidney St, a slab of futuristic 135 BPM grime named after the street where the legendary Niche club was held. More coming from him on Toddla’s Girls Music and UTTU this year amongst others. Finally we have a deeper version of Walter Ego’s track, not on the release, watch this space 😉
Big line up in East London this weekend for the launch of Venice Calypso’s debut solo EP on Senseless. Check out his killer tracks on the first Synesthesia from last year HERE. We’ve teamed up with Destroy Culture (http://www.destroyculture.biz/) and fashion website Flash Fads (http://www.flashfads.com/) to bring a full night of cutting edge music and fashion to a basement club in East London. Give the Olympics a rest and get involved.

We’ve teamed up with Hyperlink and Long Clothing to bring one of the hottest new MCs in the world direct from Brooklyn to a very, very small club in East London. Playing live with Njena Red Foxx. Support from Venice Calypso (new EP on Senseless this summer) Das Boot and the Hyperlink/Long Clothing gang. Get down early.

The time has come!
Senseless touches down on the mighty Meteor stage at Glade this weekend. The line up for just this one stage is quite simply insane with crews like Earnest Endeavours, Robox Neotech and our boys Donky Pitch joining us. Huge shouts to the Uppercut crew for creating the stage, the DJ Box is a UFO with a dancefloor packed with underfloor bass.
We’re bringing the full crew for the showcase repping the whole spectrum of Senseless sounds from bashment, dub and reggae to grime, house, electro and everything in between.
Better late than never we’re launching our podcast series where we get artists, friends and fam to boil up some straight heat. First up one of our favourite artists and a long time Senseless collaborator, Murlo. A big bashy blend of dancehall and funky with plenty of his own edits and productions.

18:15-20:15 Senseless Allstars ft Deville, Sarantis, Sasquatch & MC Ishu

New DeVille mix for the Brock Out series featuring fresh Senseless bits and other good things. Promoting the killer party April 20th for their 4th birthday with Royal T, Phatworld and loads more: https://www.facebook.com/events/139099002879491/
Here’s what they say about the mix, download it here:
“Senseless Records has been flying the flag for international bass music since 2004, boasting releases blessed by Max Romeo, Warrior Queen, Rossi B & Luca, The Phantom, Pacheko, Kanji Kinetic, Lenkemz and many more. It’s established an enviably eclectic identity with an emphasis on joining the dots between global bass sounds.
The man behind it all is Theo Cooper aka DeVille, and we’re mega pleased to hand him the reigns for Mixtape 024. His mix is typically multifarious, effortlessly blending grime, bassline and house with tastes of hip hop, RnB, footwork, jungle and bashment.”
