New DeVille mix for the Brock Out series featuring fresh Senseless bits and other good things. Promoting the killer party April 20th for their 4th birthday with Royal T, Phatworld and loads more: https://www.facebook.com/events/139099002879491/
Here’s what they say about the mix, download it here:
“Senseless Records has been flying the flag for international bass music since 2004, boasting releases blessed by Max Romeo, Warrior Queen, Rossi B & Luca, The Phantom, Pacheko, Kanji Kinetic, Lenkemz and many more. It’s established an enviably eclectic identity with an emphasis on joining the dots between global bass sounds.
The man behind it all is Theo Cooper aka DeVille, and we’re mega pleased to hand him the reigns for Mixtape 024. His mix is typically multifarious, effortlessly blending grime, bassline and house with tastes of hip hop, RnB, footwork, jungle and bashment.”
An amazing new video from the Tribe crew in Chicago bringing some insane moves to the Lenkemz remix of Winter Titty and then finishing with how they did it, you may or may not want to try this at home.

A tropical storm from Venezuela with Pocz and Dj Yirvin offering a taste of the country’s wild underground Tuki scene. The unmistakable rhythm of Tuki music is heard in barrios across Caracas fueling a dance culture every bit as intense as footwork or kuduro from other parts of the world. Very little Tuki music has been released outside of Venezuela which makes this collaboration between Pocz, known for his past work with Pacheko on Enchufada, Tigerbeat and Senseless and DJ Yirvin, one of the godfathers of the scene, all the more exciting. The title, Explotala comes from something to shout at a DJ from the heat of the Venezuelan dancefloor.
Three originals from Pocz showcase his rhythmic flair and dancefloor sensibilities in a style that merges Tuki and Kuduro influences to devastating effect. Yirvin mixes big room sounds with the dark energy of Caracas at night to create a sound that is his and only his, his remix of Explotala is mutant bass madness and Petare is considered one of his classics. The release also features a video with one of the city’s best dancers.

We’re proud to prevent this exhilarating collaboration between NYC’s Zebra Katz, hot on the heels of his release on Diplo’s Mad Decent label, and Boyfriend one of the rising stars of the tropical bass world also with remixes on Mad Decent and tracks on many other labels. The originals combine Zebra’s signature late-night flow and faultless delivery with a deep, dark and beautifully produced set of instrumentals from Boyfriend, marking a departure from his normal club friendly style (Fans include Nadastrom, Diplo, Rusko and many more).
The remix package is truly EPIC, starting with Chaos in The CBD (Youngunz) on a rolling 808 flex, moving through a solid gold club hip-hop joint fromBrenmar (Grizzly/Hum & Buzz etc) and a dancehall flex from Rizzla (Fade To Mind). Moving things up tempo Photonz (One Eyed Jacks) turn in a jacking techno cut leaving Wheez-ie (Embassy) and Lenkemz (Senseless/King Pigeon) to round things out in style at the 150+ BPM range. Enjoy!

The first release of 2012 looks backwards but looks to the future with a huge set of remixes of Rossi B & Luca’s lost grime classic ‘Mind The Gap’ featuring original grime don Flirta D. The track was due to come out on the mighty A.R.M.Y back in the day but fate conspired against it and it has remained a secret weapon for a select few DJs.
This release presents the classic original for the first time and it bears all the hallmarks of classic grime with orchestral stabs, swirling samples and booming bass accompanied by Flirta’s signature wordplay. Grime remixes come from two of the best in the current scene, Spooky and Teeza. The former upping the ante on the original with robotic percussion and nasty synths, the former slicing together a classic break and booming 808s for his ‘Temix’. Mutant bass man of the moment Submerse wears his bassline rave hat for a bouncing bassline remix with just the right amount of ’92 and Sarantis turns it up to 160bpm for a menacing juke tempo missile. Old school, new school, bridging the gap.
