A joint venture between our very own Pocz and Pacheko’s Abstractor crew and production company Mostro this is the first documentary to document the rise of Tuki music from the Venezuelan barrios. It paints a vivid picture of Tuki’s heady mix of hard beats and high intensity dancing. It features Yirvin, Baba and all the legends of the scene, theres even a little cameo from Senseless’s own Deville in there commenting on his own experiences in Venezuela. Great visuals by Design or Die who also did the Zarbak artwork and video way back when (CHECK IT). English subtitles available just click on the Captions button. Who wants Tuki? WE DO.
And if you haven’t checked the 100% tuki release from Pocz and Yirvin earlier this year on Senseless, listen to it HERE.

Polish-born Venice Calypso broke onto the radar with a stellar contribution to 2011’s Synesthesia #1, where his track ‘Drifting’ received support across the board and was described by XLR8R as, “Next level club music”. For this his debut solo EP he channels UK bass influences as well as a love for Detroit techno like DBX and Underground Resistance. The result is three gritty slabs of machine music punctured by his signature syncopated ear for rhythm. It’s music for dark rooms, late at night.
Deville playing this Thursday in Barcelona with The Bug, Quemists, Cardopusher, Neuhen and more, they’ve made a video, with bumper cars in it:
And then Friday with Octa Push and Unidade Sonora in Lisbon:
Lenkemz is dropping that hot FIYA with the third installment of the Senseless Podcast. 100% party starting mayhem.

Hot on the heels of Synesthesia #2 we’re going straight back in with another technicolour selection of bass music from around the world just in time for summer. Vocals feature heavily on this release with Senseless resident MC Dialect showcasing his tough northern grime flex all over an eski-juke anthem (instro included) from Lenkemz who has been getting support from Diplo, Toddla, Basement Jaxx and many others recently. Next up we have one of our all time favourite artists and a big inspiration for the label, we’re very pleased to welcome Poirier with three absolute killers.
First up he teams up with long time collaborator Face T for the bass heavy ‘What’, lets just say sleng teng in a 2K12 style. On ‘Festival’ he channels African influences into a summer carival workout and then flips it for the slower reggaeton-inspired ‘Ladrillo Por Ladrillo’ featuring Boogat on vox. Finally we have a burning hot newcomer out of the furnaces in the Steel City, Walter Ego drops the monstrous Sidney St, a slab of futuristic 135 BPM grime named after the street where the legendary Niche club was held. More coming from him on Toddla’s Girls Music and UTTU this year amongst others. Finally we have a deeper version of Walter Ego’s track, not on the release, watch this space 😉
