Senseless met Reilly during a label showcase in San Francisco and as soon as they heard the demos they knew that a release had to happen. With releases on Top Billin and Hot N Heavy and remixes for Trouble and Bass and more already under his belt it’s fair to say the future is bright for Reilly and this EP proves it. Four original tracks balance electro, techno, deep house and garage influences. There’s spare, minimal production that builds to crescendos of intensity in tracks like ‘ICU’ and ‘The Healing’. Then ‘Taking Me’ equally references Detroit techno and old school hardcore whilst sounding totally contemporary and ‘Inside’ drops things way down deeper.

Hot on the heels of Synesthesia #2 we’re going straight back in with another technicolour selection of bass music from around the world just in time for summer. Vocals feature heavily on this release with Senseless resident MC Dialect showcasing his tough northern grime flex all over an eski-juke anthem (instro included) from Lenkemz who has been getting support from Diplo, Toddla, Basement Jaxx and many others recently. Next up we have one of our all time favourite artists and a big inspiration for the label, we’re very pleased to welcome Poirier with three absolute killers.

First up he teams up with long time collaborator Face T for the bass heavy ‘What’, lets just say sleng teng in a 2K12 style. On ‘Festival’ he channels African influences into a summer carival workout and then flips it for the slower reggaeton-inspired ‘Ladrillo Por Ladrillo’ featuring Boogat on vox. Finally we have a burning hot newcomer out of the furnaces in the Steel City, Walter Ego drops the monstrous Sidney St, a slab of futuristic 135 BPM grime named after the street where the legendary Niche club was held. More coming from him on Toddla’s Girls Music and UTTU this year amongst others. Finally we have a deeper version of Walter Ego’s track, not on the release, watch this space 😉
